Psalm 121

Psalms is a wonderful book of the Bible. It is probably one of my favorites. Psalm 121 is a passage that encourages me in the Lord so much.
If you have never read it before this is what it says,

"I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber or sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore." - Psalm 121 (ESV Version)

What does that passage say to you? What does it mean to you?

Smiles! :)

Being Content in the Lord

Today at church one of our pastors, talked about what it means to be content in the Lord and what it looks like.
Some of the things Mr. Law said were,
1. Contentment is empowered by Christ
2. God has brought us to find sufficiency in things related to God
3. Being content in God will bring you genuine joy.
4. Christ sufficiency entails being Christ - satisfied.
5. Happiness and fulfillment in the Lord is something people can NEVER take away from you.
6. Obviously, we are not born content. Contentment is worked out through trials.
7. Contentment does not exist apart from God. We cannot be secure apart from Christ.
8. Contentment that is genuine and endures is not possible apart from God's power.

Take a few minutes to dwell on those truths because they were so powerful for me to hear, and i surely hope they speak to you as well.
You can find that message by Aaron Law on www.metrolife.org I would ENCOURAGE you to take 45 minutes and listen to it. It is well worth it.

Tomorrow hangout with Nicole.

For some reason im so excited about hanging out with Nicole tomorrow she is the greatest sister. No, shes not technically my sister, but i sure do love her like one. She is so encouraging to me. She challenges me to grow and to focus on things that are praise-worthy and honorable as well as God glorifying. Coli, we have been through thick and thin together. I thank you for being such a gracious friend to me. Your such a testimony of how you have walked through different trials, but still have a smile on your face. I wanted to semi-publically thank you. I'm SO blessed to have you in my life. Thank you for always being a ray of sunshine!

Love you! Cannot wait to hang out with you tomorrow!

Where the Spirit of the Lord is - Chirs Tomlin

Ok, so everyone out there knows i'm a music junkie. Well most of you do. haha :)

I serve on a worship band for my school and i got the privilege to sing this song with my band leader Cody.
The song is called, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is" with Chris Tomlin.

This song touches my heart so much because it talk about how reassuring knowing the Spirit of the Lord is.
God is always there, he is so faithful. We need to be out there building the Kingdom of God.

"Your all that we want, Your all that we need. Your all that we want, Your all that we need."
Oh, it gives me chills. We indeed know where the Spirit of the Lord is.
If that doesn't make your day i don't know what will :)
Where is YOUR joy found?

Check out the song, i hope it touches you as much as it touched me.
